A study conducted in the United States has revealed that the excessive number of educational applications used in schools places an additional burden on parents and teachers. According to a survey, 54 percent of school administrators reported that at least ten to fifteen different educational applications were being used. Many teachers expressed that managing these systems was difficult and time-consuming, while parents also reported struggling to track their children's academic progress.
One-third of teachers rated their satisfaction with the use of multiple applications as two out of ten. The biggest complaint was the time wasted managing data across different platforms and the complexity of the processes. Meanwhile, 85 percent of parents stated that following their children's academic development had become more challenging, and they felt lost among the numerous applications.
The study proposed several potential solutions to address this issue. These include the creation of a unified portal, the removal of unnecessary applications, the development of an introduction process for parents and teachers, and a greater focus on user feedback. Experts emphasise that educational technology should be streamlined, and integration processes should be improved to make digital tools more effective and accessible for both educators and parents.
