Family Development Program
The Family Development Program (ALGE), designed within the scope of family studies — one of the key research areas of Institute Social — is a development program that aims to strengthen the family institution by enhancing families' social, psychological, spiritual, and economic awareness in the face of contemporary uncertainties and rapid transformations. When both personal and societal needs are taken into consideration, families remain the most powerful foundation and resource in the development of character and identity, the establishment of emotional support and a sense of belonging, and the building of self-confidence and social trust.
The new habits brought about by intense individualization and consumer culture accompanying digitalization pose a significant challenge to all the foundations and resources of the family institution. The approaches and behaviors displayed particularly by adults in response to these challenges — which also determine the quality of all relationships between parents and children as well as within the family — will shape the future of the family. Drawing from this reality, the Family Development Program aims to guide parents toward a consistent and strong family environment, and to ground boundaries and freedoms in attitudes and behaviors on sound foundations.
The training modules prepared within the scope of the Family Development Program are as follows:
- Digital Awareness Training for Families
- Privacy and Trust within the Family
- Spousal Communication and Consistent Parenting
- Parental Authority and Boundaries in the Family
- Balance in Family and School Relations
- Transmission of Tradition and Cultural Development in the Family
