Research and Strategy Program (ESAS)

Institute Social Research and Strategy Program (ESAS) is a comprehensive program within Institute Social, designed for graduate-level researchers and students. It aims to develop participants' individual research skills, build awareness of research areas related to current issues, expand their intellectual capacity, and strengthen their strategic analysis competencies. ESAS includes research and practice components, reading workshops, graduate networking events, doctoral-level researcher support programs, and a trainee program. It offers the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge in the fields of education, society, and economics, while enhancing research and methodology development skills. The research and practice component of the program allows participants to gain hands-on experience in the Institute's scientific and institutional work. In the workshops, theoretical discussions are addressed across a range of fields from comparative education policy to economics, and from negotiation to colonialism. The graduate research meetings and training modules aim to support the development of participants' academic knowledge, skills, and strategic thinking competencies for the future.

ESAS Program Content

ESAS Training Modules These modules aim to strengthen participants' theoretical foundations in the social sciences while helping them gain expertise in research and analysis methods. Structured around the themes of education, society, and economics, these modules offer a methodological foundation that can make a difference both in the corporate world and in academia by enhancing skills in understanding data, reporting, producing appropriate policy, and developing academic methodology.

ESAS Reading Workshops In the reading workshops, current literature, conceptual maps, and social theories are examined in depth. Covering a broad range of topics such as education, economics, colonialism, and global systems, these workshops aim to develop participants' critical thinking skills and broaden their intellectual perspectives through interactive discussions built around weekly article and book readings.

ESAS Graduate Research Meetings This is a dynamic platform that brings together graduate researchers from different universities and disciplines. In these meetings, participants have the opportunity to share and develop their own thesis, article, and academic project processes, while also addressing current social science debates from an interdisciplinary perspective, guided by our expert researchers.
