A recent study conducted in the United Kingdom has revealed that a significant number of school administrators have been subjected to physical and verbal assaults by parents. According to a survey conducted by the National Association of Head Teachers (NAHT), 82% of school leaders reported experiencing harassment from parents in the past year.
The survey results show that 85% of respondents had been verbally abused, 68% had received threats, and 10% had been physically assaulted. Additionally, online harassment and threats via social media have emerged as growing concerns for school administrators.
Authorities emphasise the need for stronger legal measures to ensure the safety of educators and to prevent such incidents. With the increasing use of social media, school leaders are facing more insults and threatening messages on digital platforms.
Educators stress that teachers and administrators deserve greater respect in society, while officials have begun taking steps to address this issue through new preventive measures.
