The UK Establishes the AI Economics Institute
The UK government has officially announced the establishment of the ‘‘AI Economics Institute’’ (AIEI) in order to deeply examine the economic impacts of artificial intelligence and to optimize the growth opportunities brought by this technology. This prestigious institution, the first of its kind globally, aims to research the effects of AI on labor markets, productivity, and economic growth, and to examine whether these gains are fairly distributed across all segments of society (income groups, regions, and generations).
