Artificial Intelligence Could Turn Into an Uncontrollable Technology
Computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton, regarded as one of the pioneers of artificial intelligence, has warned that AI technologies could spiral out of control. Machines might develop a language incomprehensible to humans and operate with opacity that poses serious security risks. Such systems could amplify biases, make flawed decisions, and even disregard human instructions. It is emphasized that measures such as enhancing transparency and involving independent ethics committees are essential, with the warning that any “a posteriori” regulation could come too late.
