Saudi Arabia Launches Nationwide School Performance Transparency Initiative

Saudi Arabia has begun sharing the performance data of 22,000 schools with parents for the first time in the country’s educational history. The "Mustaqbalhum" application, launched by the Education and Training Evaluation Commission under the Ministry of Education, provides parents with real-time access to their children’s academic performance.

Through this platform, parents can monitor their children's progress using various data points, including national examination results and university entrance assessments.

The initiative was introduced with the aim of promoting transparency and accountability in the education system. Additionally, it seeks to encourage parental involvement in the educational process and to strengthen trust between families and schools. Saudi officials believe that Mustaqbalhum will foster healthy competition among schools and contribute to improving the overall quality of education.

To date, more than 1.7 billion data points have been collected, with 1.5 million students participating in performance evaluations. Nearly 24,000 schools have conducted self-assessments, achieving a 100% participation rate. It is expected to expand its reach in the coming years, emerging as a significant innovation in the field of educational technology.
