Hong Kong Unveils Major Overhaul of Science and Maths Curriculum
The Hong Kong Education Bureau is preparing to comprehensively overhaul the senior secondary science and mathematics curriculum from the 2029 to 2030 academic year. The reform aims to help students keep pace with rapid technological change and strengthen their global competitiveness in STEM fields, including science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Moving beyond the traditional boundaries of the current curriculum, the new approach will place greater emphasis on innovation, practical learning and analytical thinking.
