The study, which considered various factors such as the structure of the education system and higher education, reveals that Finland’s education system follows a 9-3-3 structure. This structure includes a mandatory nine-year primary education period, followed by three years of upper secondary education and a three-year higher education phase. In Finland, the most demanding examination is the Finnish Matriculation Examination, a comprehensive nationwide test administered upon the conclusion of high school. Successful completion of this examination qualifies students for further education at universities and other institutions of higher education. The objective of the exam is to evaluate the extent to which students have acquired the essential knowledge and skills throughout their high school education. Additionally, it assesses whether they have progressed in alignment with their educational objectives. Students in Finland’s demanding education system also struggle with high levels of stress.
