There are more than 4,500 AI companies in the country, and schools in Beijing are introducing AI courses for primary and secondary students.
More than 3.5 million students in China graduated with degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in 2020. The country is focused on competing with the US in the field of artificial intelligence.
