III. Türkiye–China Academic Cooperation Forum: Announcement and Call for Papers

Following the first forum held in Ankara in 2023 and the second meeting convened in Shanghai in 2025, the Third Türkiye–China Academic Cooperation Forum will take place in Istanbul on 25–26 June 2026. Hosted by Enstitü Sosyal in collaboration with Shanghai University and the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, the forum aims to bring together academics, policy experts, and practitioners on a shared intellectual platform to address solutions to deepening global challenges.

Main Theme: Decision-Making Processes in an Era of Global Crises

Today, increasing uncertainties in technology, security, society, and governance confront countries with complex decisions at both national and international levels. In this context, the forum seeks to contribute to the development of more resilient, inclusive, and cooperative policy approaches in response to global crises.

Thematic Framework of the Forum

Discussions will be conducted within a broad perspective encompassing the following topics:

  • Decision-making dynamics in a changing global order

  • Türkiye–China relations and Asia–global interactions

  • Global governance and multilateral crisis management

  • Artificial intelligence and technology governance

  • Higher education, academic cooperation, and the role of think tanks

  • Media, public diplomacy, and societal transformations

  • Trade, economic connectivity, and sustainable cooperation

Participation and Submission

The Third Türkiye–China Academic Cooperation Forum is committed to strengthening interdisciplinary dialogue and building solid bridges between knowledge production and policymaking. Researchers who wish to contribute to the forum are invited to submit their paper abstracts by 25 April at the latest.
