Basel Adra on “Decolonizing Narrative”

As part of our Global Reflections series, Institute Social is pleased to host Basel Adra, Palestinian filmmaker, journalist and activist. In his talk titled “Whose Truth Do We See? – Decolonizing Narrative,” Adra will explore the power of visual storytelling, representation politics and cinema as a practice of counter-narrative and solidarity.

Known for his on-the-ground documentation of demolitions and forced displacement carried out by the Israeli army and settlers in the West Bank, Adra stands out for using cinema as a tool of witnessing, resistance, and pursuit of justice.
